Subscriptions (/carlift/subscriptions) is the standing agreement a carlift runs on: a client buys a regular route for a period, not individual rides.

¶ Versions instead of edits
A subscription is not edited in place — a change creates a new Version. That is what keeps past trips priced by the agreement that was in force when they happened, and it is why Operations shows contract price (period) rather than a single current price.
¶ Legs
A leg is one directed part of the route — morning there, evening back. Billing and planning both work on legs, so a subscription with one leg and one with two are different products even at the same price.
