Location types (/fleet-locations/types) is the small reference book behind the Type column of Fleet locations.

¶ Default radius
It is a starting value, not a rule: a location keeps its own radius once set. Changing the default does not retroactively resize existing points — which is deliberate, because a manually tuned radius usually exists for a reason.
