Finance → Finance (/finance/drivers-motivation) holds the rules that decide how income is split between a driver and the fleet.

¶ Rules apply forward
Changing a rule changes future calculations. Already calculated salaries keep what they were calculated with — but a driver whose period is not yet fixed will be marked Needs recalculation on the Salaries screen.
That is the safe order: edit the rule, then look at who turned red, then recalculate deliberately.
¶ Deductions come through the rule
Expenses reach a driver's salary through the motivation rule, not through the purpose of a transaction alone. A deduction that does not appear in a salary is usually a rule that does not carry it, not a missing transaction.
